    All of the staff at this place made my vacation. The food was wholesome and nutritious. The water was wonderful to jump off the long pier and cool off! This place is more for the adventurer traveller and not someone who is looking for the Ritz-Carlton. If you enjoy peace and quiet and fun….they have it all!!

    We had a reservation at rickys place and had to cancel it one day before as I got sick . He was so helpful in organising a boat , a car to Padang and cancelled all the Storno fees on booking.com . Thanks a lot for that Achmed , good karma !

    Ricky’s Beach House is an ecotourism project, and they really follow through on community involvement. The different activities offered give fantastic perspectives on local life and allow adventurers an opportunity to see the beauty of the local area. Pros: Bungalows and check-in are situated on picture-perfect beaches, snorkeling can be done off the pier and down the coast a bit. The waterfall trek was stunning, and the island tour was also quite fantastic. Food at dinner time was served in bountiful capacity. As a solo traveler, staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome, inviting me to a swim up the river and to play volleyball with the locals. Cons are largely tied to the property’s remoteness. There’s no wifi and cell service can be slow. No bars and only one

    I stayed with my two daughters (10 and 14 years) for 5 days and we had such great time. The place, accomodation and above all the staff and the two amazing dogs were perfect and made us feel at home immediately. The beach is kept very clean and perfect for snorkeling, clear, calm water and nice coral reefs right at your door step.The boys were playing volleyball every evening, which looked like fun and played music and games nearly every night – which was delightful to watch and possible to join in. And getting involved with the turtle project will be great too. There wasn’t much going on while we were there, but Ahmed showed us around, answered all our questions patiently and we could even take part in releasing two green sea turtles – one of the highlights for the girls. We would return any time❤️
