Located between Flores and Sawoe Sea, Alor Archipelago is one of Indonesia’s last frontier. The resort itself is situated on a stretch of 400 m long sandy beach, completely integrated into the natural surroundings of Pantar Island. With 12 guests maximum staying at the resort, personalized service and friendly ambiance are guaranteed. To remain as authentic as possible and to be responsible with local communities the staff are all from the surrounding villages, offering also guests the possibility to exchange and learn about Alor culture. The dry season in Alor is from April to late October, with some chilly nights at certain times, which makes the destination comfortable for all.

The property is eco-friendly, which translates into
– minimizing the impact on the environment – with a no-cutting trees policy at construction and even a program to plant more trees;
– use of natural material for construction and traditional thatch roofing;
– use of local labour and craftsmanship;
– no air-conditioning: fan, thatched roof, tree shade, facing East have all been studied to minimize carbon emissions;
– compost of all organic waste, used as fertilizers for the garden.
