    Bunga Jabe has a marvelous white sand beach. At low tide you can walk hundred of meters into the blue Java Sea. We went there to enjoy lunch, prepared by a locally famous Buginese chef. All the ingredients were fresh, so we had to wait for a while. But that was no punishment. We had a beautiful view at the sea. The serving staff was very friend ly, explaining the course. ‘Piece de résistence’ was the special cooked ‘ikan kakaktua’, parrotfish, served with white rice. The side dishes were also very tasty. After the eating we chilled in the shade of coconutpalm trees. If you are at Karimunjawa, fed up with ‘nasi goreng’ and you want an original Buginese meal, go to Bunga Jabe Beach. By the way, they offer nice hotel accomodation too. ‘No smoking’ because of the bamboo building…

    We stayed three nights at bunga jabe and had a wonderful time. It is a family run hotel and everybody is very nice and welcoming. The place is wonderfully built, all in natural materials and we stayed in a beautiful, comfortable chalet with ensuite bathroom just on the beach. Very magical. The food was also very nice and tasty. The hotel also organise many things. We spent a day in Pulau Cilik for some stunning snorkelling, and hired a scooter to explore the island. All very reasonably priced and very nice.

    Bunga Jabe is in a quiet location, with a lovely clean beach. If you fancy some relaxing time on a tropical beach under coco trees with nice people looking after you, this is the place for you!
