Getting to Maratua Island takes a bit of time but it is so worth it. The island is unspoiled. Everyday you see turtles swimming past. The staff were very friendly and the accommodation was wonderful. There is beach and jungle here and you can snorkel around the house reef and feed the fish.

We stayed in Pratasaba Resort for five nights in August and truly enjoyed our stay here. The room is clean and comfortable, and the staffs are amazing. Special thanks to Lusi, who is responsive (through WhatsApp) and helpful before and after we arrived. The food and drinks here are inexpensive and tasty. Lots of fishes just in front of the resort. Also can spot turtles. Also had two great outings arranged through the resort, one to Kakaban Island (stingless Jellyfish) and one to Talisayan (Swim with whale sharks). Would definitely recommend visitors to stay here while in Maratua Island.

Stayed 8 days in this ‘hidden gem’ in Maratua Island. There are soon to be more resorts to be developed in this paradise island – but currently there are only a handful or so.
Pratasaba resort is your cup of tea if you are looking for: fairly new and clean facilities, amazing location, such lovely and friendly staff and dive master (I loved hearing some of the staff singing in the kitchen and spreading good energy), having the feeling you are only one of few people there, great diving (just snorkel off the terrace of the restaurant and you will see a colorful reef and so many turtles; once even an eagle ray)!
This place and the experience will be hard to be topped.
